Cody McElroy Receives Certification as Certified Construction Manager

We are proud to announce that Cody McElroy has passed the necessary examination and is now a Certified Construction Manager (CCM). He recently applied to the Construction Manager Certification Institute and was approved to sit for the examination.

Cody, a graduate of Virginia Tech, is involved in numerous civil engineering and construction management projects for municipal and utility clients throughout East TN and Southwest VA. He has been instrumental in securing funding for numerous projects through grants and low interest loans. In addition to the CCM certification, McElroy is certified as a Registered Gas Distribution Professional, TDEC Level II Erosion/Sedimentation Control Designer, and received certification by NASSCO in PACP, MACP, LACP (sanitary sewer inspection/assessment).  He also serves as Mattern & Craig’s company-wide Health and Safety Officer and Radiation Safety Officer.

The Construction Management Association of America is North America’s only organization dedicated exclusively to the interests of professional Construction and Program Management.

The Construction Manager Certification Institute (CMCI), a subsidiary of CMAA, administers the Certified Construction Manager program, which has been accredited by the American National Standards Institute.

The Association was formed in 1982. While the current membership is more than 14,000, including individual CM/PM practitioners, corporate members, and construction owners in both public and private sectors, along with academic and associate members; McElroy is a member of an elite group of approximately 2,500 professionals nationwide to earn the actual CCM certification.
