Mattern & Craig, an employee-owned Civil Engineering and Land Surveying firm, is seeking an experienced Survey Field Technician II for our Roanoke, VA office.
Essential duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Ensures all equipment is in proper calibration.
- Assists Surveyors and Surveying Associates in the field with ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, boundary surveys, Topographic surveys, As-built, and Route surveys.
- Assists with the collection or distribution of survey data (total station, data collector, level) by operating survey equipment including prism marksman.
- Assists with transmitting survey data to the proper files in the computer network and be able to acquire the data for field use.
- May be tasked with obtaining knowledge and training in specialized survey equipment and techniques.
- May be tasked with running the survey crew in the absence of the Survey Crew Chief.

Qualifications:
