MATTERN & CRAIG ANNOUNCES THE RETIREMENT OF RANDY DODSON

Mattern & Craig would like to recognize and celebrate with Randy Dodson on the occasion of his retirement!

Randy will be retiring at the end of June.  We want to take this opportunity to extend our heartfelt Congratulations and to say a sincere Thank You to Randy for his 27 years of dedicated service to Mattern & Craig and our clients throughout Tennessee and the southeast region.

Originally from Bassett, VA, Randy graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech in 1979.  Prior to joining Mattern & Craig in 1995, He worked for Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) in Nashville in the Roadway Design Section.  During his career with M&C, he has landed and managed many successful DOT and other roadway projects.  He has fostered many excellent, longstanding relationships with DOT and local government officials which has contributed greatly to M&C’s success in the transportation and traffic engineering market.

Randy is a Vice President and Principal in the firm’s Kingsport office. He serves as the office manager in Kingsport and led the Transportation Division for the firm for several years with responsibilities for staffing, production, and quality assurance for all transportation projects.  He retires with over 40 years of expertise in a broad range of civil and transportation engineering projects.

Randy is an active member of the Kingsport Rotary Club.   He’s an avid golfer and enjoys teaching Sunday School.

Randy and his wife Sharon will be enjoying retirement traveling, golfing, and relaxing with family.
