Kaila E. Stevens, PE, and Matthew P. Fulponi, PE, both passed their necessary exams and are now registered as licensed Professional Engineers by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Kaila has been with Mattern & Craig since 2017. She began as an intern before starting full-time in our Structural Department. Kaila has been involved in a wide variety of projects and her experience includes the design of new, replacement, and rehabilitation of both pedestrian and vehicular bridges in Virginia, North Carolina, and Tennessee, as well as being a certified bridge inspection team leader. Kaila is also involved in Business Development for the firm and is a member of APWA and the Junior League of Roanoke Valley.
Matthew has been with Mattern & Craig since 2020. As part of our Transportation Department, he is actively involved on many design projects and contracts primarily performing roadway design, traffic services, and roadway drainage analysis. Matt is also experienced in statewide contracts with VDOT, PennDOT project development, consultant design, and transportation services.
