Lance Hartland, PE, a licensed Professional Engineer in both North Carolina and Virginia, earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Pennsylvania State University. He has worked in the traffic and transportation engineering fields for over 20 years and brings with him a vast experience in traffic analysis and roadway development/design. He worked on both design/build and conventional roadway project for clients including State DOT’s, Cities/Towns, Counties, and Private Developers.
Britton Orr, PE, a licensed Professional Engineer in both North Carolina and Florida, comes to Mattern & Craig after 3 years designing roadways for the Florida Department of Transportation. He earned his Masters of Science in Civil Engineering Transportation Systems Engineering from the University of Central Florida in Orlando. His expertise includes a broad range of transportation engineering projects that involve roadway design, developing and preparing contract plans and specifications, assembling roadway design plans, signing and pavement marking plans, signalization plans, lighting plans, typical section packages, design exceptions and variations, and utility conflict reports.
Sean Allison comes to Mattern & Craig with numerous years of experience utilizing geo spatial data and technology; performing digital imaging and processing; navigating, maintaining and updating large Geodatabases; creating and retrieving GIS/GPS data from the field and then post processing GPS info; and producing printed maps for both the Assessor’s Office and the general public showing map features, property boundaries, plotted lots, parcel numbers and other geographic features. Sean earned his Bachelor of Science in Geography and Certificate of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from Appalachian State University in Boone NC.
